Dawn Edwards – Managing Director
Dawn formed Challenge Consulting in 1996. Her background is in financial services, having worked in both personal and commercial finance. Her employment includes roles with Investors in Industry (3i), Scottish Life and also Scottish and Newcastle (where she was employed as an Investment Manager. She has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and NVQ5 in Management qualifications and is a fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management. She is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute. Dawn won the British Business Awards "Nottinghamshire Woman Achiever of the Year" in 2003. Dawn works closely with the ILM and business clients to develop new and innovative programmes and training interventions, and supports and advises on business and management issues. She delivers both bespoke work and also qualification courses up to level 7 in the National Qualification Framework.
Debbie Parr – Management Training Consultant
Debbie joined the company in 2001 and has worked with both our Private Sector and Public Sector clients on a wide range of courses and activities since then. Prior to this, Debbie worked within the Training and Development Field for Argos Distributors and also Pound Stretcher. She attained a First Class Honours Degree in 1990 and attained the Certificate Personnel and Development (CIPD) in 2002. Her strengths lie in soft skills training and facilitation, developing and delivering a wide range of bespoke interventions and providing advice on Customer Experience, Communications Skills and Interpersonal Skills. Debbie also delivers on qualification courses up to Level 5, and is also accredited to deliver on Interpersonal Skills at Level 7 in the National Qualification Framework.
Gerry Kitchingman – Management Training Consultant
Gerry has a long association with Challenge Consulting as she used to contract the company for work when she was employed as an HR Manager at BASF Pharma! Gerry joined the company in 2002 as an employee, and worked previously with us as an Associate Trainer. Gerry has a generalist HR background and excellent working knowledge of Employment Relations type issues. She has a Degree in Business Studies and attained the Certificate in Training and Development (CITD) in 1995. Gerry is also qualified in Occupational Testing and Myers Briggs Type Indicator Profiling. She has a wide scope of expertise and designs and delivers extensively on Leadership, Coaching and Emotional Intelligence Topics. Gerry delivers on qualification based programmes up to Level 7 in the National Qualification Framework.
Nick Hogg – Management Training Consultant
Nick joined the Company in 2004, having worked as a Manager within large retail stores for several years. Nick has a wealth of experience in Management and Operational issues. He attained a Level 5 Diploma in Management Studies in 2005. Nick specialises in People Management Topics and in those related to Operational Management including those interventions designed to enhance customer experiences, and Health and Safety and Risk Assessment. Nick designs and delivers qualifications at levels 2 and 3 in the National Qualification Framework and also some units at Level 5.
Lisa Spencer-Arnell – Associate Training Consultant
Lisa has worked with Challenge Consulting since 2006. She is an accomplished Executive Coach, Mentor and Trainer. She is a licensed practitioner of Emotional Intelligence Tools, and various qualifications in mentoring and coaching as well as an MBA. She has recently co-authored a book on Emotional Intelligence and Coaching which is due to be published by Kogan Page in 2009. Lisa designs and develops a range of programmes for our clients including Mentoring, Coaching, Work Life Balance and Managing Stress.
Yvonne Wapples – Administrator
Yvonne joined the company in January 2008 having previously worked for the Police in an Administrative Role for several years. Yvonne’s role is to co-ordinate the training and consultancy staff and to ensure that all of the administration behind the scenes is kept up to date, including that required by the various clients, suppliers and accrediting bodies and Professional Institutes which we deal with.
Joanne Fletcher-Nesbeth – Associate Training Consultant
Joanne has worked with both Private Sector and Public Sector clients; some of these include Nottinghamshire County Council, E.ON (Powergen), New College Nottingham and GBD Limited. Joanne has attained qualifications in Professional Studies, Occupational Testing (SHL), NLP Practitioner, has a B.A (HONS) in Business Administration and a CIPD Postgraduate Diploma in Training Management. She is a contributing author to a Participation Training Resource Pack, which is due to be published during 2008 on behalf of Barnardos. Whilst working with New College Nottingham, she lectured Certificate in Training Practice to lawyers and judges who were responsible for training Magistrates. Whilst employed by E.ON (Powergen) she actively took part in the training of 4500 staff to agree yearly training plans, which involved HR to clarify recruitment plans and induction programmes. Joanne also managed E.ON’s Lean Service Training Project in line with lean/system thinking.
Marion Parrish – Management Consultant
Marion joined the company in 2008 and has a broad experience base in HR and Change
Management Consultancy, having previously worked for the Learning and Skills
Council as an HR Business Partner and also as Equalities and Diversity Manager.
Prior to that Marion worked as an HR Client Manager, and Policy Manager for
Boots the Chemist. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, a
BSc Hons in Managerial Sciences, is a Corporate Member of the CIPD and also is
qualified to use various psychometric analysis tools. Marion focuses on creating
work based assessments for us in terms of writing briefs and marking scripts up
to level 7 in the National Qualification Framework. She also provides tutorial
support to students on our qualification based programmes.
